Taliban

Taliban is an Islamic political and military organization, active in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Taliban ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, but lost control when armed forces from the USA and NATO invaded the country. Taliban regained power in Afghanistan in 2021. They are accused for human rights and cultural abuses. They are infamous for denying education to women, carrying out public executions of their opponents, persecuting minorities and destroying cultural landmarks.
